Vonetta Garcia joined Gethsemane UMC in 2018 and currently serves as Youth Minister . She has over ten years working experience in Early Childhood Education and currently a Certified Lay Minister Candidate. Vonetta has served in variety of positions in church and as a United States Navy veteran but has always felt led to work with youth and young adults, over the years.
She desires to teach and encourage youth to develop their spiritual growth and to be charged to model their faith in their daily lives. As stated by the author Leif, “When we share the Gospel, two things are happening spiritually: Confirming our confidence in Who we serve, reminding ourselves Why we are saved. Maturing in God’s teaching, for the lesson is best learned when taught.”
