Minister of Pastoral Care and Online Discipleship

Minister Cecelia S. Logan has had the  honor to serve God’s people for over 20 years in the capacity of Pastoral leadership as an engaging preacher, teacher and worship leader. She is a Trained Disciple Bible Study Facilitator and Small Group Facilitator. One of her gifts is the unique ability to connect community and church through outreach initiatives. In addition to being a Clinically Trained Pastoral provider, she is am equipped to provide Passionate End of Life Care. Minister Logan received her training, “Grief over a Lifespan”, from Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.

Minister Logan began her ministry in the DC region with St. Paul UMC in Oxon Hill, MD in Grief and Bereavement in 2009, and has supported Gethsemane United Methodist Church since 2016. In her time at Gethsemane, she has served as part of the Samaritan ministry, Visiting ministry and Evangelism ministry. Minster Logan supports the Evangelism team’s provision of Morning Devotion during COVID-19. Praise God.

She comes with a vast range of experience from working in communities and churches. She was privileged to participate in the 2009 Presidential Inauguration Swearing In Ceremony volunteering to the election process. She attended the General Conference for United Methodist Church of Greater New Jersey Conference (GNJAC) as a page in 2008 and representing the press in 2004. In 2005, she was inducted in Order of the Flames in St. Simon Island, Georgia. 

Minister Logan conducted a spiritual pilgrimage to Tazie, France with the youth of GNJAC in 2005 and a Cross Cultural Experience in Ghana, Africa in 2001. From 1996 to 2008 she served God’s people through a Pastoral Appointments with  the United Methodist Church New York Annual Conference  & GNJAC.
