MONDAY

Men’s Bible Study

The Men’s Bible Study is designed so that all of the men that attend can build a stronger relationship with our Lord and Savior by growing in our faith through challenges and successes. The Men’s Bible Study challenges each other to grow in our faith. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 7:00 pm.

TUESDAY

Outreach Ministry Food Pantry

Is it not right to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house. Weekly distribution of food and clothing contact Anne White for additional information. Tuesdays at 10:00 am.

Community Bible Study

Classes will resume This Tuesday, at Bells UMC, 6016 Allentown Rd at 12:00 pm

WEDNESDAY

The Word on Wednesday

The Word on Wednesday will resume This Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. Join us this Wednesday as we begin a series focused on Stewardship and Money Management Principles. All are encouraged to attend!

Sunday Morning Worship

Praise the Lord with us at our morning worship service! This service offers an uplifting, engaging and inspirational worship experience. Each week our pastor brings insight and perspective that causes the scriptures to come alive. Sundays at 10:00 am.

World Communion Sunday

What is World Communion Sunday? World Communion Sunday is one of six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church. World Communion Sunday calls the church to reach out to all people and model diversity among God’s children. The special offering provides World Communion Scholarships, the Ethnic Scholarship Program, and the Ethnic In-Service Training Program.  Your continued support and generosity are greatly appreciated! October 7th, 2018.

In celebration of World Communion Sunday, the congregation is asked to wear clothing that reflects another region or culture of the world.

The Liturgical Dance Ministry

The Liturgical Dance Ministry will resume rehearsals on October 7, 2018.  We are looking for new members between the ages of 4 and 94.  Help us praise God with “timbrel and dance”. Contact Tara Samuels at 301-404-5326

Harvest Season 2018

Gethsemane is excited to celebrate the Harvest Season during the months of October and November. Celebrate your harvest by participating in Gethsemane’s Harvest Bible Studies, Revival, Homecoming and Ministry Activities. In addition, each member and friend of Gethsemane is asked to give a special Harvest Gift of $200 in celebration of the Harvest. Use the special envelope located in the back of the pew for your Harvest Gift.

Music Ministry

Remember the New Testament’s admonishment to make a melody in our hearts to the Lord. Bring your gift to the Lord; come sing with a choir! No experience required. Lay Ministry

The Lay Servant Ministries Academy is open for REGISTRATION for the Fall Session through September 31.  The Academy will be held Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14 at the BWC Mission Center.  If you are interested in becoming a Lay Servant or if you need recertification, information is available at bwcumc.org website.  Online courses are also available; go to beadisciple.com.  Registration must be completed online.

Gethsemane Reads

Gethsemane Reads will meet for a follow-up discussion of How  Good  Do  We Have To Be?  by Rabbi Harold  S. Kushner, on Sunday, October 14, in the Fellowship Hall immediately following morning worship.  All are welcome.  Rev. Obie Wright Jr.
