Peace with Justice Sunday
This year, The United Methodist Church observes Peace with Justice Sunday on June 16th. Moved by Christ’s love to pursue reconciliation and peace, transformed Methodists are unwilling to sanction or overlook injustice. Rather, we agree with Martin Luther King, Jr., who said “Justice denied anywhere diminishes justice everywhere.” Your giving on Peace with Justice Sunday is vital for The United Methodist Church to continue its global ministries of reconciliation, doing God’s critical work in the world. Graduate/Student Recognition Sunday
Graduate/Student Recognition Sunday is Sunday, June 23, 2019. All students from kindergarten through college will be recognized during the Sunday worship service. This celebration will include all students connected to Gethsemane worshippers (i.e. children, grandchildren, other relatives, neighbors) who are registered. . High School and College Graduates will receive Special Recognition and are asked to wear their regalia. Thank You, Dr. Newton-Guest.
Communications Ministry
Come and join the Gethsemane media team! There is a training session on the video and sound system on Saturday, June 29th 2019, 10 am – 12pm. Training is open to those 13 years old and up.
