with Guest Speaker, Dr. Cheryl R. Smith, Emmanuel Worship and Deliverance Center

On Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 10:00am, the United Methodist Women of Gethsemane United Methodist Church will hold our annual Women’s Day Celebration. This year’s theme is Bold and Courageous Women Embracing Wholeness in Sacred and Secular Places and we want to make sure YOU are in attendance! The dynamic and uplifting Dr. Cheryl R. Smith, Emmanuel Worship and Deliverance Center will bring the word of God during the worship service as we celebrate all women in our community.

Dr. Cheryl Smith is the Co-Pastor and one of the Founders of the Emmanuel Worship and Deliverance Center (November 2002). Prior to pastoring, she served as a committed member from birth at the Beth-El Temple Church of Christ under the leadership of the Late Apostle Robert Evans, Jr. and in later years, Bishop Richard Pender, Sr.

Saved at the age of 9 years old, she has always enjoyed learning about God and His word. Even as a child, the hand of the Lord was upon her life, often using her in the area of prophetic visions, dreams, and interpretation. In 1993, she accepted the call to ministry and the Office gift of Teacher. After 4 years of careful study, preparation, and training, she was licensed in March 1998 to teach and proclaim His Word.

Professionally, she has over 20 year’s experience as an Educator and Administrator in the Baltimore City Public School System.
