Travis Jones

Minister of Worship and Arts

Travis O. Jones, M. A., is a licensed minister of the Gospel. He was born and raised in the state of South Carolina. He works in the educational stratosphere as a Dean of students for DC Public Schools, and he is also an accomplished songwriter, music artist, and founder of The Coronation, USA- a musical production featuring a crowning ceremony to honor Jesus as Lord and King. Jones received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina- Spartanburg Campus. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Incorporated. Minister Jones graduated from Webster University with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2005. He received his license to preach the Gospel in October 2013 under the leadership of Reverend James Perry, Jr.- Pastor of Empowerment Worship Center in Greenville, SC. Jones has an extensive music ministry resume, singing on many stages throughout the United States, São Paulo, Brazil, and St. Kitts, West Indies. He currently leads the music department of Gethsemane United Methodist Church with passion and fervor, aiming to incorporate a higher degree of excellence to every endeavor that pertains to music, drama, arts, dance, spoken word, and the overall worship experience. Jones’s overarching goal is to offer ministry on a universal platform, introducing the many facets of the Glory of God. His favorite scripture is Psalm 144:1; Blessed be the Lord my strength, that teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight.
