To make giving easier, Gethsemane United Methodist Church is providing an electronic option for making regular offerings. Contributions will be debited automatically from your checking, savings or credit/debit card account. Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and donation consistency for our church.
Online giving is a simple, convenient way to provide consistent financial support to our church and a predictable flow of deposits each month is very helpful in budgeting.
One hundred percent of the funds given online from your checking or savings account go directly into Gethsemane’s bank account and all data from the profile that you set up is safe and secure using Vanco’s SecurityMetrics which is PCI Certified. Vanco Payment Solutions is endorsed by the United Methodist Church.

Establishing an Account
- Giving online allows you to set up automatic recurring and one time contributions and view your complete online giving history from anywhere you have access to the internet. Simply follow these easy steps: Click on the “Set up and Manage Your Online Giving” button at the top or bottom of this page. When you do, a new browser tab will open onto Vanco’s eServicePayments site for Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
- Click on the “Create Profile” button in the Create Your Online Profile Then type your name, address, e-mail, and password. (Remember or record your password for future use.) Next click on the Create Profile button. At this point, you’ll be logged in under your account. Now you are able to make donations.
Go to www.GethsemaneUMC.org, click on “Online Giving.” Next go to the Login tab, type your e-mail and password and click on “Login.” Next, click on “Add Transaction.” Enter the amount you want to donate to each fund. The transaction total must be at least $5.00 for an online transaction.
The most powerful part of online giving is your ability to “set and forget” by setting up recurring donations. To do this, simply specify a donation frequency like “weekly”, “monthly”, semi-monthly”, and “quarterly” and select the starting date on which recurring transactions are to occur (the starting date must be a weekday). You may also make a one time donation. You will need to locate a check to get the Routing Number and Account Number for your bank account, or you can use your credit/debit card. Once your account is set up, press the Process button. Later you may login and edit or cancel transactions.
